Ira Klonsky, MD, is a general surgeon and caring physician with substantial experience treating a range of conditions, such as hernias, hemorrhoids, diverticulitis, abdominal disorders, benign tumors, gallbladder and colon cancer, gallstones, and appendicitis.
Since 1983, Dr. Klonsky has been the senior partner providing the highest quality in personalized care at South Shore Surgical in Valley Stream, New York. He played a pivotal role in opening up the state-of-the-art wound care and hyperbaric medicine center at South Shore Surgical.

Couldn’t thank Dr Klonsky enough. He changed my life. I had a inguinal hernia that has to be taken care of. I went to see him and we scheduled my surgery a week and a half later. The pain was post op was minimal, and I was as nervous as nervous can possibly get before the surgery. I had surgery on a Monday, and was back at work the following Tuesday, (it was Memorial Day but I could have gone back Monday if my job was open for business) 10 out of 10 stars for Dr Klonsky. I had met with Dr.Klonsky for my hernia issue. He was very patient and clear of the surgery process. The surgery was planned about 2 weeks after the consult. I met again with Dr. Klonsky prior to the procedure. Everything went extremely well. I was up and walking almost immediately all with very little pain.
